The Cuki aluminum bowls are the protagonists of an ‘’anti-wastefulness’’ operation, to recover the fresh food that hasn’t been sold and to earmark it to the unprivileged people. Since the 2011 Cuki has donated more than 150.000 bowl and 5.000 thermoboxes to Banco Alimentare that, through its Siticibo project, allowed to recover the fresh food that wasn’t sold or distributed to the GDO channel and the fresh and cooked food in the organized food service (hotels, workplace and hospital canteens, scholastic refectories, retail stores…), making it available for the wakest categories through more than 8.000 charitable organizations in Italy. Thanks to the help of Cuki, the Siticibo project allowed to recover more than 2,5 millions meals.
The Save Bag take up the idea of an aluminum bowl that is usually used in the restaurants kitchens: it is the anti-wastefulness bowl for a new culture of the responsible consumption. It has been designed to be functional and recognizable, renewable and with a limited environmental impact. A didactic operation about the recovery and the esteem of the excess food topics with 200 students activated by Cuki with the Polytechnic University of Torino has led to the planning and design of the Save Bag as a result.
